Appeal/Grievance Procedures

  1. Discuss your appeal/grievance privately with your instructor Boat Training Provider (BTP).
    Should you prefer, you may put the grievance in writing on the form provided.  The form can be handed directly to the instructor BTP or Boat Training Organisation (BTO).
  2. Should you wish to share your appeal/grievance directly with Marine Safety Queensland (MSQ), this can be done by arranging an interview, by phone or letter.
  3. After discussing your appeal/grievance with the instructor BTP you feel unsatisfied with the result, you may make your appeal/grievance to MSQ.

In most cases it is best to talk with your instructor BTP in the first instance.
