Code of Conduct 

As a registered BTO with BoatSafe QLD, Aussie Boat and Jetski Pty Ltd (Aussie) strives uphold the highest standards as published by Boatsafe to adhere to the current published boatsafe business rules regarding BTO code of conduct, which includes;

·      avoid any conflict between personal interests and obligations under the approval

·       not recruit or seek to recruit staff of the Department of Transport and Main Roads (the department), including Maritime Safety Queensland.

·      implement mechanisms to identify any of these cases and ensure nominated BTPs do not work for the department

·      behave courteously and respectfully towards any persons the authority holder encounters when providing the approved BoatSafe training and assessment program

·      not intimidate, abuse, insult, harass or otherwise cause distress to any student, former student, members of the public, other BTO and/or BTP authority holders or representatives of the BoatSafe team

·      not engage in conduct that brings BoatSafe, other BTO and/or BTP authority holders, themselves, or MSQ into disrepute

·      not publish defamatory matters about BoatSafe, another authority holder,

·      be clear and transparent to the community regarding the way that they advertise their fees

In additional Aussie seeks to;

·      provide a safe environment for Relevant Persons engaged with Aussie

·      take an inclusive approach in their activities;

·      not allow discrimination on the basis of gender, race, social, cultural, religious, disability, philosophical background or age;

·      be an inclusive organisation dedicated to being open to all students staff and boating community and providing a safe environment;

·      conduct regular reviews of the training conducted to ensure that it complies with all relevant standards, and codes of practice;

·      ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of their staff and students;

·      supporting all of its students in successfully completing their selected course and supporting and understanding student LLN needs;

·      provide access clients regarding policies and procedures, fees, refunds and grievance resolution;

·      ensure that all Boatsafe training providers (BTP) are fully qualified and competent to deliver and assess training courses;

·      complies with all legislative requirements of State and Federal governing organisations including workplace health and safety, Work Place Relations, Office of Fair Trading and Education Authorities.

 Compliments & Complaints Policy

We encourage & welcome your feedback and suggestions on our services. We endeavour to respond to your enquiry, comments, complaint, appeals etc. promptly and with courtesy. If a student is dissatisfied with the conduct or content of the course training, they should raise this immediately upon the conclusion of the training so these concerns can be resolved at that stage.

We will acknowledge your complaint & do our best to resolve it. We will also endeavour to liaise with sensitivity to the needs of vulnerable applicants, such as those who are not fluent in English or have an intellectual or physical disability.
